The Bead Cottage is no longer accepting online orders. Our Store however will be accepting phone orders. Please give us a call at 757-495-5400 and we will be happy to assist you.

Do you have a minimum order?
At this time, we do not.
What are your payment options?
For your convenience we accept MasterCard, Visa, DiscoverCard and American Express.
Do you ship COD?
We do not ship COD.
How do I get free shipping?
For domestic orders of $75 or more, USPS Priority Mail shipping is free.
Are my phone credit card orders sercure?
Yes, by our secure certificate with GeoTrust. Credit cards are processed through LinkPoint services, one of the nation's largest processors. We do not store your credit card information. The Bead Cottage is no longer accepting orders online due to the extensive errors with our web page!! If you are interestested in making a purchase from our store please call us at 757-495-5400! Our Staff will be happy to check our inventory to see if the item or itmes of interest are in stock. Give you the current prices and process your order by phone. The shipping process will remain the same as it has always been.
What is your shipping policy?
In most cases, orders are processed promptly for next day shipping. Domestic orders within the United States are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and should arrive within 2-3 business days. For domestic orders of $75 or more, USPS Priority Mail shipping is free.

International shipments will be sent via Global Priority Mail. Any import fees, duties or taxes associated with an international shipment are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. Also, the customer is liable for shipping costs on refused packages.

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes, Please call our store at 757-495-5400 and our staff will be happy to process your Gift Certificate order and ship it out to you or the person it is intended for. All Gift Certificates bought are only redeemable through the store in person.
Do you sell wholesale?
We can depending on the item. Please call us at 757-495-5400 to make further arrangements.
How do you ensure my order is accurate?
We have at least two people check your order for accuracy and quality of merchandise. However, errors do happen occasionally. Be sure to check your packaging carefully before discarding anything, and please call us immediately if something is missing.
Are your pictures accurate?
We do our best to describe and picture the beads on our website as accurately as possible. However, in some cases, i.e. sterling silver, the color in the picture is somewhat distorted.
Do you have a printed catalog?
We do not have a printed catalog. Our stock changes constantly and it is easier to update an online catalog.
What is your return policy?
  • With prior authorization, items must be returned within 10 days of receipt and in the same condition as sold.
  • Returned items are subject to a restocking fee of 15% and there are no refunds on shipping or insurance fees.
  • Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the sender and return shipments must be insured.
How long are your strands?

Firepolish and Pressed Glass strands are as follows (these counts are approximate and sometimes vary according to the shape of the bead):

Semi-Precious strands are approximatly 16" long. Variation on the size of beads are unavoidable. If longer or shorter it is noted in the description.
